Ellie has been in the classroom for 13 years and fell in love with Montessori in 2015. She soon began her training to become Montessori certified and earned her IMC Montessori Certification in 2020. She spent two years at home with her son and then opened the toddler classroom at a local Montessori school and is thrilled to continue that work with the Hummingbird House families. Hummingbird House Montessori has been a dream of hers since she was 13 years old and is grateful for the chance to make that dream come true. When she is not in the classroom she is usually building something in her garage, at the river, out mountain biking, or camping in the woods. She looks forward to sharing her passions and love with the community. 

Taran Evans was born in Nevada but grew up in Austin, Texas.  She spent a couple of years living in Hawai’i where she has family but ultimately decided Texas was where she needed to be. Taran is currently working towards her Montessori certification. While she is still early in her teaching career, she appreciates all of the great moments she has had so far and is excited about what the future holds. Taran has wanted to be a teacher ever since she can remember. Her favorite game to play growing up was “teacher” and “office”. She began working with children in 2017 and is so glad to have joined Hummingbird House in 2022. During her free time, Taran is usually playing with her dogs or making art. She has a passion for creativity and enjoys having it as a part of her life.
