Hummingbird House Montessori was started in 2022 to bridge the gap between home and school. We aim to provide a solid foundation for the young child by offering a safe and nurturing space which gracefully supports the child’s initial transition from home to school and fosters their budding independence as well as their need for exploration. We work in close partnership with families to support and empower parents and to ensure that the lessons introduced at school extend beyond the classroom walls for an optimal learning experience.

Ellie has been in the classroom for 13 years and fell in love with Montessori in 2015. She soon began her training to become Montessori certified and earned her IMC Montessori Certification in 2020. She spent two years at home with her son and then opened the toddler classroom at a local Montessori school and is thrilled to continue that work with the Hummingbird House families. Hummingbird House Montessori has been a dream of hers since she was 13 years old and is grateful for the chance to make that dream come true. When she is not in the classroom she is usually building something in her garage, at the river, out mountain biking, or camping in the woods. She looks forward to sharing her passions and love with the community.
